Summary

While grizzled, macho old gamers everywhere are rubbing their hands together in anticipation of the next wave of blockbuster shooters like Call of Duty, younger players know that 2013's big action is all around Disney Infinity.

Following Activision's Skylanders model, the game is all about collecting real life action figures and sending them right into your games console! Bringing together characters like the Incredibles, the cast of Cars and the Pirates of the Caribbean in a single game, Infinity is an absolute must-have for any Disney fan.

The way it works is that in your Starter Pack you get the game, your Disney Infinity base, three Disney Infinity figures (Mr Incredible, Jack Sparrow and Sulley) and three Disney Infinity playsets - Monsters University, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Incredibles. When you fire up the game and put your figures and playsets together with the base, you then get to play with them in the game!

There's an adventure mode centred around each set of characters, in which players take on all sorts of missions based in their world. Some of the challenges can get kind of tough, but luckily friends can be brought in to help in four-player co-op! In the Pirates of the Caribbean levels, for example, you can cruise around at your leisure with a pirate ship and have a friend firing the cannons!

The star of the show, though, is Toy Box. In Toy Box players can use their own imaginations to create huge levels of their own, then share them online! There's loads of stuff to use, meaning that you can create all sorts of cool stuff.

And, ff you ever feel like you're going to run out of stuff to do, fear not! There's always more content to unlock by getting new toys and playsets to bring into the game!
