Summary

Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale is a role-playing game that draws on the history and mythology of the Forgotten Realms.

The player chooses from a range of characters including: a Human Fighter (a skilled in melee fighting); a nimble Elven Rogue; a Halfling Wizard, and a powerful divine Dwarven Cleric. Gamers involve themselves in “pick-up-and-play” combat in which they can use a variety of weapons, feats and powers against an assortment of differently powered and armed foes.

As usual with RPGs, levelling up of characters enables stronger powers and better armour and weapons. In this case, there are three tiers of powers, and a long list of feats.

Full of hack’n’slash fun, the adventure sees player called into action by a mysterious mage who sets the task of protecting Daggerdale, which is under attack from Rezlus, an evil Zhentarim Cleric. He is seeking to bring the dark power of Black Lord Bane to the idyllic dale. The gamer must bring peace to the Dalelands not only in combat but also by unravelling the secrets of the Mines of Tethyamar. This epic quest sees them reaching the treacherous Tower of the Void before facing Rezlus himself.

Dungeons and Dragons: Daggerdale can be played in single-player or in four-player co-op.
