Summary
The Next Big Thing is a light-hearted outing into the craziness of the movie world from Pendulo Studios – the team behind the Runaway trilogy of titles.
Although there is adventure to be had as the gamer guides Liz Allaire, a (theoretically, at least) talented blonde actress who lacks basic common sense but makes up for it with tonnes of ambition and go-get-it-ness through puzzle after puzzle.
Joining Liz is Dan Murray, a Californian sports reporter with a cheeky – and frankly rude – outlook on life. While Dan’s not to be trusted, he is to be adored.
The duo’s task (and that of the gamer) is to solve their way through elegantly rendered locations featuring hundreds of movie and TV references that contain puzzles to test the brains of more adult gamers. All this is wrapped in an intricately plotted storyline that will test the intelligence while at the same time playing on the funnybones of PC owning game fans.
