Summary
The power and ferocity of Samurai Warriors can now be experienced in a whole new dimension! The Nintendo 3DS allows you to see epic historical battles unfold in front of your eyes in stereoscopic view as you contribute your might and strength to the cause. Like every other Samurai Warriors game in existence, in Chronicles you stand as a warlord intent on conquering the warring states of Japan in order to bring peace and prosperity to the entire nation.
With the 3DS’ touch screen the gameplay has been streamlined to better adapt to your play style. Before each battle commences you assign four generals that help drive back enemy forces on the battlefield - if you wish to switch between these playable characters at any point during the fight, you just need to press their icon on the touch screen.
A lot of other important data - including KO information, maps and mission details - can be found on the bottom screen too, leaving the top screen free from any HUD clutter. The Circle Pad makes for effortless exploration of the playing field, and the build of the 3DS itself allows you to easily pull off combos and manouevres on many multiple enemies. Every playable character from the Samurai Warriors 3 Z/Xtreme Legends games will be available in Chronicles, along with two new customisable characters that you can tailor to suit your own desires.
