Summary

Developed by NeocoreGames, an independent game studio based in Hungary, King Arthur The Role-Playing Wargame sees players guide the legendary King Arthur in his effort to conquer the warring provinces of Britannia, unite the kingdom and bring lasting peace. Recruit the fabled Knights of the Round Table, dispatching them to all corners of the realm on a variety of missions, improving them to become the most powerful of heroes. Build the majestic and awe inspiring Camelot, govern a growing kingdom, and oversee spectacular battles where thousands of skilled warriors, powerful magicians and fearsome creatures clash in bloody fights to the death.

Every decision the player makes will determine Arthur’s morality as a King creating their own legend; will he be a kind and benevolent ruler or a ruthless monarch? A Christian king or a Pagan leader? Destiny shall decide…

The game features a single player campaign across five chapters, each consisting of 15-20 objectives. There are seven unit types – Archers, Light infantry, Heavy infantry, Spearmen, Cavalry, Knights and Crossbowmen. Further to that, there are 61 unique skills available to units, along with the ability to level up.

Choose from three hero types – Champions, Warlords and Sages, then select up to 12 individual skills for each hero with around 100 to choose from. You can bolster your hero with 150 unique magic artifacts across three main groups – Weapon, Armour and Charm.

Things are played out across a three dimensional gameplay map featuring rivers, forests, marshlands, towns and legendary locations. There are over 30 unique Battlemaps, unique to each province, featuring a variety of terrain and requiring differing unit setups and tactics in order to be victorious.

And, if the single-player's not enough, you can try your hand at two player multiplayer, online or via LAN.
