Summary
The pop-tastic Band Hero makes its way to the Nintendo DS, with some new features to trump its portable Guitar Hero cousins and a whole host of exclusive connectivity with the Nintendo Wii edition of the music rhythm game.

The pop-tastic Band Hero makes its way to the Nintendo DS, with some new features to trump its portable Guitar Hero cousins and a whole host of exclusive connectivity with the Nintendo Wii edition of the music rhythm game.
Band Hero comes with a similar peripheral to Guitar Hero on the DS, which connects to the Game Boy Advance slot of a DS Lite and allows you to use your fingers to hit chords in the same way as a full-size plastic guitar controller. This time, the game comes with a new Drum Grip that allows you to lay down beats, and utilises the handheld's microphone to full effect.
Loads of family-friendly artists are available to play in Band Hero, including Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, The Killers, KT Tunstall and Fall Out Boy - and you can customise your band member to fully look the part as you jam with the latest pop-rock songs.
New elements introduced include a No Fail mode that allows you to practice songs at length before attempting them for real; stage stunts that assume the form of mini-games that reward you with star power and multipliers for completion; and special on-stage challenges such as accomplishing 100-note streaks or earning gold stars on various instruments.
Connecting with the Nintendo Wii version allows you to both manipulate the action on the big screen when people are playing the home console edition, and download unique Fan Request challenges onto your Nintendo DS for you to try at your own pace. Completing these challenges unlock awards and exclusive characters that can be played on both versions. << less
