Summary

LEGO has had a fair bit of a comeback as of late, particularly in computer games where its comical take on classic films has tickled the hearts of children and adults alike. So, with this newfound resurgence, it would be fair to say that the next step would be to form a band, go on tour, hassle some roadies and rock the world. LEGO Rock Band, therefore, couldn’t have come at a better time for the world of the plastic block.

This game is a method of bringing all the excitement of the original Rock Band computer game to the families and teens, by letting you belt out to family-friendly music acts such as Kaiser Chiefs and Pink, instead of the likes of Machine Head. Using the power of LEGO, players can create their own rockstar, instruments and their entourage using traditional LEGO pieces.

Once your band is set up, you can go on tour by building vehicles to drive to the next destination, then you drum, strum or hum your way through classic songs like Blur’s “Song 2”, Ray Parker Jr.’s “Ghostbusters” or Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back” to get the crowd jumping and earn LEGO studs.

Rock Band peripherals work just fine in LEGO Rock Band, meaning the only thing you need to do differently is get your family involved!
