Ultimate Band - Wii
Summary
Ultimate Band is the latest entry in to the crowded world of pop/rock music simulations. But while this market is well served on the PlayStation and Xbox 360, Ultimate Band is aimed at the Nintendo Wii and DS gamer.

Unlike some other 'Band' games, Disney's Ultimate Band dispatches with all those expensive peripherals, and lets you rock out with your Stylus or Wii-mote and your nunchuk out. So while there is still an element of rhythm and timing to the game, there's also a much bigger element of posturing and strutting like a real rock star. But it also means that there are no vocals in the game: just Guitar, Bass and Drums, but you can still take part as a lead singer - it's about the strut and the posture.
You can customise every aspect of your character or band to make yourself a typical rocker, surfer, nerd, and much more. In Story Mode, you must take yourself - or in multi-player, your band - from your garage to the world stage with the eventual aim of becoming the Ultimate Band. On the way, you can perform over 30 music tracks from artists such as Avril Lavigne, Blink-182, The Killers, My Chemical Romance and Pink.
The game also lets DS owners join in the Wii game, controlling stage effects and lighting from their touch-screens. << less
