When Buzz! The Music Quiz appeared in late 2005, it introduced the public to a new way of gaming; simple multiplayer buzzer action and a commitment to deliver quiz games for every interest. Well, after a raft of games in the series - sports, films, dinosaurs and jungle themes among them - Buzz! goes back to where it all started. A lot can happen in the music biz in the space of three years and this is reflected in the huge amount of questions and answers in Buzz! The Pop Quiz. In 2005, for example, Amy Winehouse was more famous for her vocal talent. In 2008, post-Back to Black...well, you know the rest. The point is, who'd've thought? Like we said, a lot can happen in three years.

However, the Buzz! gameplay hasn't changed at all. Lots of questions, posed by the man himself, and all presented in a selection of modes and rounds that can be tailored for up to eight players. Everyone from Black Eyed Peas to Bloc Party features as subjects, there are promos from Razorlight, Take That and t.A.T.u. (where are t.H.E.y. now?) and new rounds including Musical Squares, Name that Band and Video Stars. It's a huge step forward from Buzz! The Music Quiz alright! But don't dump that 2005 release just yet. Imagine looking at it 10 or more years from now and visualise the quaintness of some of this music and the people who brought it to you. Keep it, buy Buzz! The Pop Quiz, hang onto both, and you have an instant and interactive snapshot of an era. Mark our words, it'll be priceless entertainment in the future, when we're all listening to hammer drills and tormented children and calling that pop music.

There are no losers with Buzz! The Pop Quiz, simple as that. << less
