Summary

Wii Chess offers 10 levels of finely-tuned computer opponents to take on. Beginners can enjoy getting to grips with the game at its lowest setting and gradually challenge the more difficult levels. Once you consider yourself a worthy player, you may feel inclined to go up against a real live human player. You can play with a friend side by side with a pair of Wii remotes, or challenge unknown opponents thanks to the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. You can play against opponents at any level or use the ranking system to play against opponents of a similar level.

Wii Chess also offers you the opportunity to improve your technique via playback of previously saved games. With this, you can resume play from any desired point to review and sharpen your strategies.

Wii Chess uses Loop Express, a conversion of the Loop chess engine which ranked third in the 2007 World Chess Championship in Amsterdam. Top players are sure to find a suitable match amongst the high level computer opponents.
