The Sims 2: Free Time from Electronic Arts pretty much does what it says on the tin. It takes your Sims and sets them off doing hobbies. They can get up to anything from chucking about a football with the family (this is America, remember – they have some funny ideas about what you do with something that has the words 'foot' and 'ball' in it), to fixing up a car to building train sets.

It doesn't stop there, either. You'll be able to discover secondary goals and aspirations to make your Sims fuller, more rounded individuals. Beyond that, you'll be able to unlock hidden rewards by advancing your Sims' skills at their hobbies and pushing them through all-new careers.

Activities range from science to crafts to sports to ballet, and even as far as gazing at the stars to look for extraterrestrial life. There's sure to be something for every Sim.

Go on, indulge in some free time. It's been a while. << less
