Additions made to the core gameplay include features specifically requested by World of Warcraft players over the last few years, with an achievement system and the ability to advance characters to level 80 among some of the more delicate tweaks to the experience. On top of a massive new continent to explore and do battle in, there have been improvements on the player versus player combat such as the inclusion of siege weapons and destructible buildings, along with new battlefields to play on.

The introduction of the Death Knight makes this the first Hero class of its kind and also ushers in the new 'Inscription' profession, that can be used to enhance spells and abilities in unique new ways. The icing on the cake for die-hard Warcrafters is a new suite of character customisation options, allowing players to truly set themselves apart from the rest of the pack and making Wrath of the Lich King a formidable expansion pack. << less
