Tomb Raider Anniversary for Nintendo Wii features a smattering of exclusive content not included on other console versions of the game, but still nonetheless invites gamers to raid tombs (naturally) and explore prehistoric lands, and to outwit your enemies in order to be the first to find a powerful ancient relic known as the Scion. Lara Croft is searching for the item at the behest of a powerful syndicate. She's not best pleased, however, when she finds that she's being used as a pawn in a dangerous game. With that in mind, she takes it upon herself to find out just what the bloomin' heck is going on!

From there on in, it's all exotic foliage, hidden temples and perilous tombs. You'll find classic environments from the original with added depth and realism. While the core of the original is kept intact, many of the puzzles and challenges have been taken in a new direction. And then, of course, there are the new features for the Wii version, such as using the Nunchuk to grapple, pointing the Wii Remote like a gun and firing away, and Lara's archaeology kit, containing a pick axe, trowel, flashlight, brush and rubbing tools. Guess how you make use of all that?

If you're one of those people who's memorised the original Tomb Raider frame by frame, you'll still find something new here, especially with the Wii extras. << less
