Summary

Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm returns the player to the world of Atelier with the characters Edge and Iris as they quest to recreate a magical and all-knowing book.

The game starts with a full anime style opening and then proceeds to create a colourful isometric world, full of in-depth story lines, vast quests and varied characters. With many quests on offer and with many secret items available within those quests, players are presented with a great deal of gameplay as they search for those items to gain the highest possible ranking.

There are many characters; each specialising in their own special combat type and each with varied amount of powerful and beautiful special moves, and the player can customise each character to a point where they are right for them. While on their travels, players will encounter many different monsters ranging from small inoffensive blobs of jelly to huge bears three times the size of your character and you will need to employ the use of the Burst ability in combat to deal fast and powerful blows to defeat such behemoths.

You also have the option of not only buying and finding new weapons but of combining items either with other items or current weapons to create all new or more powerful weapons in your quest to recreate the magical book. With engaging battle controls, a deep storyline and tons of replay options, this game should excite fans of the series.
