It's time to get up and embarrass yourself in front of your friends again. Yup, SingStar's back. It's time to kiss your PS2 goodbye for a few months as your sister/wife/girlfriend steals it for endless rounds of karaoke.

This time it's Pop Hits (read: a random selection of songs) that get the SingStar treatment, including Britney, Girls Aloud and My Chemical Romance.

As with the other SingStar games, the premise is simpler than writing a Xmas card. Select a song - preferably one that you're familiar with, just so you don't make a complete fool of yourself - and sing along with the highlighted lyrics on screen. In the name of entertainment, there is visual accompaniment, consisting of original promo videos in some cases. Some of the older tunes - Ring of Fire, Paranoid and the like - are from before the 'video age' and therefore are accompanied by still photos and fitting televisual special effects.

The line-up looks like this:

* Akon - Lonely
* All Saints - Black Coffee
* Ashlee Simpson - Boyfriend
* Avril Lavigne - My Happy Ending
* Britney Spears - Baby One More Time
* Cascada - Everytime We Touch
* Corinne Baily Rae - Put Your Records On
* Daniel Powter - Bad Day
* Dannii Minogue - I Begin To Wonder
* Evanesence - Bring Me To Life
