Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War - PS3
Summary
War is hell, according to some. Makes 100 years of it seem like a rather large pain, doesn't it?
Still, when a quarrel over succession to the French throne back in the early 14th century got out of hand, that's what we got. That's also where (and when) Koei wants to take you. The ancient China and feudal Japan of Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors need a bit of a break from time to time, after all.

Players will jump into a historical conflict littered with the likes of Joan of Arc and Prince Edward (or the Black Prince, if you prefer) as a rogue commander. From there, you'll have a broad array of troops at your command, including infantry, archers, and cavalry. You'll also have some more specialist units to put to work, with cannoniers, castle siege specialists and even elephant units thrown into the mix.
Bladestorm employs a 'Free Mission' system which means that, as a rogue commander, you can choose from either side of the conflict on a battle by battle basis. Of course, no one likes a turncoat...
You'll want to build up a reputation as a reliable commander. The better the commander, the better the troops. The better the troops...well, you get the idea. Your troops will also improve on their own as they gain experience. Which will be just as well, if you're playing as the French
