The premise of Brick 'Em All for the Nintendo DS is very similar to both Breakout and Arkanoid. This means countless levels of bat and ball action. The title says it all. Brick 'Em All's gameplay is simplicity in itself. The aim is to pass through multiple levels, destroying all the bricks on screen using a racquet and a bouncing ball. There are 30 different magical accessories, which can be picked up and used to your advantage. These can range from slowing the ball to a protective barrier that lets you get away with a couple of misses to a smaller racquet that will net you more points. Brick 'Em All also lets players choose their own path, in that every time you clear a stage you have the choice between two different levels to play. The game concept is so simple, but at the same time, highly addictive.

Brick 'Em All for the DS supports Wi-Fi functionality, which will no doubt have bat and ball fanatics rejoicing in multiplayer heaven. In the absence of a proper Breakout game for the DS, Brick'Em All is an ideal substitute.
