Summary
Fable - the predecessor to 2008's Fable 2 - won over many hearts with its charm, warm graphics and storyline, though it was not without fault. Big Blue Box (a 'satellite' member of Lionhead Studios Ltd and Peter Molyneux) promises to not only rectify these issues, but surpass the gameplay elements of the best-seller by a considerable margin.

The sequel is set 500 years into the future from the previous story, located in the beautiful world of Albion. In a similar way to its precursor, your actions and behaviour truly shape your appearance and reputation amongst fellow citizens, not forgetting the environments as well. The level of depth in this is far superior to what came before. First of all, you are not tied to a gender - probably the most elementary of binary choices; am I a man? Am I a woman?
Then things branch out. So I'm a man. Am I a good man? A good, strong man? A good, strong man with a wife? And kids? And a bow? All decisions lead to different destinies. 'Choices, consequences'.
Every habitable property in Albion is available to buy (another choice). Success in battle is no longer dictated to the player by maxing out certain abilities as soon as possible, this allows you to mix the various schools of combat and not suffer the penalty of being useless; make up your own class and style of fighting. From the very start, you will have your canine friend with you, acting as a protector and compass, aiming to be an integral and groundbreaking component of Fable 2.
Fable 2 intends to deliver an unrivalled experience where choice really does affect your destiny, and the destinies of those around you. Mix it up by playing with friends through Xbox Live or remain solo in your adventures and immerse yourself in one of the most visually beautiful worlds a gamer has ever lived in.
