Summary

ParaWorld for the PC is a 3D real-time strategy game set in a parallel world between a prehistoric world, where dinosaurs and vicious tribes rule, and our world back in the 19th century.

In the early 1800s, a group of scientists formed a secret society dedicated to seeking out parallel worlds. After many decades of research, the leader of the society, Jarvis Babbit - a brilliant mathematician - managed to uncover the secrets of the dimension gates. Soon after this discovery the secret society led by Babbit finds the ParaWorld, a world full to the brim with dinosaurs and warring tribes. Three young scientists - Andras Benedek, Anthony Cole and Stina Holmlund - have also come across evidence pointing to the existence of a parallel world. Worried that they might know too much, Babbit lures them into a trap which leaves them stranded on ParaWorld. The only weapon they have to help them survive is their own power of reason.

The game uses a unit management interface called the Army Controller, which lets gamers play a campaign, selecting and organising their units at a single glance. The three different playable tribes in ParaWorld are the Norsemen, the Dustriders and the Dragon Clan. As the game progresses, players must control all three tribes, but in the last third of the game they must decide which is the best tribe suited for the level they are facing. If the player fails to succeed, they have the option to pick a different tribe and try a completely different strategy. With 16 prehistoric scenarios located in five climatic zones, there should be something to keep even the most ardent gamer amused. Gamers can control up to 50 units, each armed with deadly weapons and full of powerful fighting dinosaurs, such as Tyrannosaurus Rex, Sabre-Tooth Tiger and Mammoth.

Gamers can do battle in both single-player and multiplayer action. In ParaWorld, up to eight players can choose from nine playable heroes and do battle with each other in 15 multiplayer levels. There are three multiplayer modes to get your teeth into - Team Deathmatch; Defender (one player has to defend his base against all the other players); and Domination (capture the flag).
