But unlike the other citizens, PO Stevens is immune and doesn't turn into one of the flesh-hungry maniacs. A strange doctor called Schaeffer discovers that Steven's immune blood is the only thing that can kill the Infected. Therefore, Dr. Schaeffer builds a special viral gun that uses shells filled with blood from Stevens' arm. A few blasts of this baby should see the Infected zombies shouting "Sayonara!" Gamers also have a huge arsenal of powder weapons, viral weapons and special weapons at their disposal, such as air strikes and fire trails that can ignite chains of the Infected.
As well as the single-player campaign, Infected features bloodthirsty multiplayer modes that use the PSP's wireless functionality, such as Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. There is also a clever multiplayer system called Chain Infections, whereby players create unique avatars and pass them on to other gamers' PSPs, just like viruses. If infected by another player, the gamer will actually find his avatar running around fighting in his single-player game. Through multiplayer victories, players can spread their avatars around the real world, causing havoc from player to player. << less
