Game Overview

Summary
The first Terminator game to feature the voice of the Governator himself, Rise of the Machines charges you with assuming the role of the Terminator. Like the third Terminator film, Arnie's character has to protect John Connor - he's no longer the teenager we saw in the early 90's, but a grown man with a deadly but beautiful killing machine on his tail. So far, so movie-like, and the plot doesn't stray too much from the film, so those of you that have seen it will have an idea of what's in st ...

So far, so movie-like, and the plot doesn't stray too much from the film, so those of you that have seen it will have an idea of what's in store.
The aforementioned deadly but beautiful killing machine is the TX, and she (the luscious female form of Kristanna Loken, even in digital form, cannot be referred to as 'it') is a nasty piece of work, determined to bring about the apocalypse, but not before she's disposed of John Connor. So, it's a war in all senses of the word, but it's the raging conflict between the TX and the Terminator that this game is mostly concerned with, along with testing your terminating skills against battle-hardened Tech Com special forces from the future.
With an arsenal of weapons at your disposal, including such delights as the SkyNet Arc-Laser, the Micro Rocket Launcher, and the AR-15 Assault Rifle complete with grenade launcher, an explosive game experience is guaranteed. Taking out the TX is going to take all the firepower you can muster, after all. With 20 levels on offer, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is a sizeable and tough challenge, with some extra film footage not seen in the cinema release thrown in. Safe to say that if you enjoyed the movie, you'll more than likely enjoy T3 as rendered by ATAri an d developer Black Ops for the PS2. << less
