No One Lives Forever
No One Lives Forever is basically a Bond-inspired, spy-storylined, first-person shooter. Set in the 1960's, the game is based around a covert, anti-crime organisation, and places heavy emphasis on weapons, gadgets and world-threatening conspiracies.

The game itself places the player in control of Cate Archer, a fearless, flawless and fashionable secret agent. A newcomer to the government's anti-crime organisation, Cate drops straight in at the deep end with a first assignment that involves protecting humanity from madmen intent on taking over the world. From here the game progresses in the form of mission-based, story-driven chapters as Cate explores exotic locales, unravels mysteries and becomes entangled in a cleverly constructed conspiracy that threatens the world.

Aliens vs Predator Gold
Similar to the standard version, this PC title gives you the opportunity to take on the roles of the Marine, the Alien, and yes, the Predator. Essentially Alien vs. Predator Gold is in fact, three games in one. Depending on which character you choose to play, you will be given an entirely different scenario to challenge as well as having different opponents. Choose either Alien or Predator and you will battle it out against mankind. Choose the Marine and the situation is reversed. Each of the three playable characters have their own unique attributes, just as they would on the big screen. Aliens can walk on walls, which can be very confusing; Predator has thermal vision and Marines have, well, guns. You can also choose a skirmish option, which is a simple shooting funfest with no strings attached. New additions for the gold edition include the millennium expansion pack, featuring nine new levels, new weapons, and in-game save capabilities, all of which add to the experience.

Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza
Unlike the trilogy of games that came before it, the Nakatomi Plaza edition focuses solely on the events that took place in the skyscraper featured in the first film. The premise of the game is simple, and as you might expect, faithful to the film. You have two goals to achieve: save your wife and annihilate terrorist leader Hans Gruber.

The complete game takes place inside this skyscraper of doom. There are forty levels in total - one for each floor. Get to the top, defeat the final boss and you beat the game. Playing as John McClane, you must learn a plethora of anti-terrorist skills that include precision shooting and stealth manoeuvres.

Wandering around the stunning 3D environments (graphics card permitting) you will most likely come across many familiar locations - the room with the broken glass really triggers the memory. But the most pleasant surprise comes from the support and advice you'll receive from the kind-hearted but inexperienced police officer, Powell. << less
