Summary

Featuring last year's Return to Castle Wolfenstein hit, new multiplayer maps, the WolfRadiant map editor, a 'making of' AVI movie and, last but not least, the game that started it all, Wolfenstein 3D, Special Edition is, by all accounts, quite a bargain. That sound? It's the sound of female parents in supermarkets up and down the country slapping their behinds with delight.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein is a supernatural World War II adventure where gamers are thrust into a last ditch offensive against Himmler's SS paranormal division. In addition to an action-packed, story-driven single-player experience versus the Third Reich, the title's multiplayer mode invites gamers to hone their tactical skills in squad-based combat scenarios. Players join the fight as an axis or ally soldier and can be challenged to intense, realistic campaigns like storming beachheads, infiltrating military installations, holding strategic positions and more.

Delivering a full and extremely comprehensive Wolfenstein package, Special Edition includes all seven of the official, post-release multiplayer maps developed by the likes of Nerve Software and Splash Damage. There's also a bunch of trailers and demos of Quake 3-powered games, as well as wallpapers, screenshots and cartoons to adorn the desktop of every true discerning 'Wolf Nut'

For those of you who don't already own RTCW then now is certainly a great time to discover this nice little FPS, especially as it's going for less than 20 nuggets. That said, fans of the game are going to want this as well.
