Digimon World - PlayStation
Game Overview
|
Summary
The portable pocket fighting creature phenomenon continues to grow in popularity. Bandai nearly single-handedly created the virtual pet syndrome with their Tamagotchi toy, and Nintendos Pokemon expanded the idea to include fighting and collecting. Digimon World for the Sony PSone is another fusion of these addictive concepts. Digimon World is all about collecting, raising, training and supervising your virtual pets in battle.

Digimon World for the Sony PSone is another fusion of these addictive concepts. Digimon World is all about collecting, raising, training and supervising your virtual pets in battle.
The emphasis of Digimon World is really on the welfare of your creature. You must make sure that you feed it when its hungry and send it to bed when its tired. If you dont look after it correctly, it will be weakened in fight situations. Keeping a watchful eye over your monsters behaviour is also very important. There will be times it's behaving well and bad times too, and your actions will teach it right from wrong.
Because you take the role of trainer, you have little control of what actually takes place once a fight occurs. You can only hope that you prepared your monster well enough to cope. You can throw in power-ups at various times to help your monster when he needs you most or you can tell him to use his special attack if the time is right.
If you like the Digimon cartoons, its almost guaranteed that youll go for this game as well, as it gives you the chance to have a say in the action.
