Summary

Pokemon, Pokemon, Pokemon. When will it ever end, I hear you say. The truth is, as long as you are hooked playing and continue to purchase games or otherwise from the franchise, Nintendo will continue to bring Pokemon into your homes. Why? Because it’s what you want. What you really, really want.

Children have recklessly spent pound upon pound purchasing those infamous trading cards from the local newsagents, only to succumb to the knowledge that a trading card game is about to be released on GameBoy Color. Forget trading cards. Buy the game and you can have all the cards you want.

The trading card game is actually very similar to that of the original game on GameBoy Color. You must battle each of your Pokemon cards against another’s, to claim the prizes available for the winner. Once again, the aim of the game is to get hold of as many rare Pokemon cards as possible, through travelling across the world of Pokemon, and duelling and trading with other collectors, ultimately to face the holder of the rarest cards available.

In a nutshell, the whole game is one great big preparation for the final battle. Think strategy, and you’ll be fine.
