Pokemon Stadium - N64
Summary
Earlier this year, Nintendo's console sales rose by a whopping 35%, making it the popular console in the states, and almost as popular right here in the UK. It just so happens that Pokemon Stadium was released at the same time. Is this just a coincidence? We think not.

Since Nintendo's creation of Pokemon, profits have soared, and the franchise has tripled since reaching western shores. Boasting trading cards, cartoons, movies, toys, and the rest, Pokemon is everywhere, and yet the series is so popular that it's nowhere to be seen.
As far as PS is concerned, this is merely a 64-bit update of the Gameboy versions, but a good one at that. Essentially, PS is about battling Pokemon; this isn't a role playing game. The strongest point with a title of such a simple nature is the graphical achievement. Although not compatible with the N64's RAM expansion pak, it's irrelevant, as Pokemon characters are wonderfully smooth and animated.
Complete with transfer pack, the most favourable option within Pokemon Stadium is the ability to battle the existing Pokemon you have from your Gameboy versions. Also, you can play your Gameboy Pokemon titles on your N64, effectively turning your N64 into a Gameboy. Nice.
Pokemon Stadium is a stunning title for anyone who is a fan of the series. Now considered a rare title, you should grab a copy the moment you see one. << less
