Summary

Superbike 2000 for the PC is the closest you can get to real life racing action. The Superbike World Championship is full of spills, thrills and danger. Choose from modern legends like Carl Fogarty and take to the track to prove once and for all, you’ve got what it takes to make it to top.

The presentation of this game is top notch. There are several options that allow you to tailor the game to your needs. When you first start playing it’s a good idea to turn the realism down as the courses take a fair bit of learning. The computer can help with your breaking distances so you won’t carry too much speed into the corners and that will help you remain on the track. With practice, you’ll soon have the hang of things and first place will be yours.

The graphics are one of the most impressive features of Superbike 2000. The textures look photo-realistic and create a believable game world, even at over 150 miles per hour everything is smooth. When you are racing in first person mode, the track swings convincing side to side as you lean through the corners. It’s the little touches that add up and one great touch is how the riders sit up as they approach a corner in an attempt to increase drag.

With plenty of real-life tracks and riders and fully customisable gameplay, Superbike 2000 is top.
