DKL3 is a two-dimensional platform game, a style of game that is well suited to the Gameboy. You take on the roles of Dixie and Kiddy Kong and guide them through 36 levels in an attempt to find the fabled lost cities. Luckily, you have the help of numerous animal friends to help you on your quest. In the underwater levels, for example, you can turn into a swordfish that is adept at coping with his environment.
Alternating control of two characters makes dealing with the levels that little bit easier. If one of your buddies should fall to their end, then the other jumps in and takes over.
