Graphics are of a simple, but high calibre, due to the implementation of Nintendos high-resolution capabilities. With up to 36 players on the track at any one time, Nintendos powerhouse manages the complex, roller coaster type tracks with ease.
There are around 35 tracks on which to race, many of them consisting of gravity defying twists, turns and loops. At speeds in excess of 1000kph, one false move and your out of the race. Beware of other drivers trying to bash into you, many of the tracks do not have barriers. You can however use this to your own advantage. Cunning.
With 36 drivers to choose from, all with different statistics, game play is made interesting. With up to four players simultaneously, multiplayer options and death matches and to the excitement.
F-Zero 64 is no more than a futuristic racer at heart. But with so many variables in vehicles and tracks, its a good one.
