This is too cool to keep quiet. ;) It looks like Microsoft is going with a new controller design. A buddy of mine just passed me this image of what he says is the alpha controller for the next Xbox. I think it's pretty sweet, what do you guys think?

It's not that different really, although edging more toward the dual shock design, and where did the b/w buttons go ??
The dual shock 3 will, apparently, add a trigger. I don't know if that means the existing back buttons will become triggers or that they will add another button.
There will also be a wireless version, which the xbox2 really needs to have as well, in fact, they should just make wireless controllers standard.

Oooo. And the writer deemed it "true". Now there's something you don't see every day :)

What's funny is when GS rumour control stamps stories with an "official" bogus, later offering no recognition when it turns out to true. I recall the report on the Last Ninja/PS3 story. System3 gave GS the "rubbish, we never spoke with anyone at SPOnG" line, but we have witnesses that would refute that. Now that's LOL :)

The Dual Shock is still my favourite. 4 shoulder buttons and 2 analog sticks were the best design choices since Nintendo invented shoulder buttons and analog sticks.
