Y'know, I try to steer clear of car crash reality tv. I make allowances for those that show something positive and/or with a message etc. Stuff like Brat Camp. Bad Lads Army or Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares (love it because I've worked in catering before).
I think that what's happening in on Celeb Big Brither U.K at the moment is a good example of how ignorant some people can become, especially so when they do nothing to raise their knowledge of people and the world we live in. What's an embryo? Why don't eskimo's freeze? Funny maybe, but also a sign of bad breeding?
Who am I talking about here? The debacle supposed celeb that is Jade Goody. She's come so far that she is now buying her own hype. As a product of reality tv, frankly she shouldn't be back in the house because her influence is too great upon others. What this has now done is make Jade a queen in a castle, which she's milking to the full, with harpies at either side.
Indian lass Shilpa, is feeling targeted for bullying and I've seen this. From what i see it all stems from Danielle, Jo and Jade's jealousy of her. Shilpa's clearly properly talented, good looking and a confident and rounded enough person. These are things many females strive to be. Thing is Shilpa has done her trade properly and is not a product of reality trash tv.
I think instead of doing so much bs tv crap, Jade and co should try educating themselves, instead of being another role model to be a selfish brit dunce. Using words you can't pronounce properly or know the meaning of, just makes Jade look tragic. Maybe this is a reflection of the 'being ignorant and stupid is okay' society breeding trend, currently in the u.k. Why on earth do the public love her, because she's stupid? Is it right to do this, when her lack of knowledge and inquisitive nature is now making her look awful, when they require use?
I've met so many people over the years, different races and all that. If I'm curious about something, only way to find out is to talk and ask question. It's only then you understand them better. Some should do the same.
Now this whole thing has had loads of complaints and is all over the news, even now ebing debated by MPs (like they don't have enough on their plate). I don't think what's going on is racism, its more jealousy and ignorance than that (don't forget Jade is mixed race).
Anyway, add your thought people.

What else has she got? She's a "celebrity" that is only famous for being on the non-celebrity big brother.

What kind of brainless, life-less nobody do you have to be to want to watch 10 chavs in a box for weeks on end?
7.1 Surround, 140 inch 1080p projector. Loadsa consoles. Suck my knobs SS4!

Joji, you recall that period when spong gave away lots of nintendo games, gba's and DS's? For the most posts, or the most interesting posts, i can't recall myself.
Well, its over. They're not giving stuff away for posting in the forums, so do us a favour and don't bother us with this s**t. All those paragraphs and nothing to say.

It's easy see. Before I got this job I worked someplace else. When I was at school I always wanted to be a lawyer, then there were times when I wanted sex, and when I didn't want sex I wanted something else, and now I want to be dead. DEAD!

Hey, I'm not bother about gift and such. that's not why I posted what I did. While the BB isn't a cup of tea worth sipping, like a car crash I have to look at it sometimes. Be it to laugh or frown.
On a wider note, should too much reality tv be called into question?
We ain't that far off the Running Man becoming real. That might actually be funny though.
Are you saying you like some brit people being stupid and thick? Ignorance (of BB is okay but not of the wider issues) is no guard as they say. Are you saying you think potential bullying on tv is okay?
If you'd bother reading it fully, you'd see I am saying something. The paragraphs are there for you to digest the post easier.

Hell yeah. It's cheap TV... which is why it gets made. But it's s**t TV.

That I'd watch. But Running Man would not be "reality" TV. It's not a bunch of vapid narcissist losers sitting around discussing nothing, in the hope of getting a TV presenter job. It's not a few b-list 'celebrities' learning how to tango. Pitting someone with nothing to lose up against insurmountable odds would be great.
But remember, in the film, Ben Richards was a good and decent man who had been framed. In reality, people who survived the game would be rapists, murderers and paedophiles. Could we really let them back onto the streets?

Bullying is natural. I don't mean it's right, but it is natural. Some people are psychologically (or physically) dominant, asking them not to use those natural traits to gain an advantage is like asking birds not to fly, fish not to swim. Corporations and governments do it all the time, why shouldn't individuals?
People who go on Big Brother are (to an extent) asking to be bullied. They are the modern day equivalent of The Word's "I'd do anything to get on TV" participants.
And after all - the book for which it is named was about the entire populace being bullied by the state.
Will I still be soiled, when the dirt is off?
