Of course PS3 will beat the Xbox 360 ... by 2015 there won't be an Xbox360 - like somebody else's puking baby, Microsoft will have disowned 360 the moment the Xbox 720 is announced.

I don't think Japan's the big deal any more. Granted, it'll always have an influence, but the global market is far bigger. The US is the biggest gaming market now, isn't it? Even die-hard Jap devs like Capcom are developing games with greater Western sensibilities. I'm no fan boy (I'm lucky enough to have both 360 and a PS3), but honestly think that M$ has done enough to stay ahead of Sony in this generation. People have started to see through Sony's 'techno bluff' - the same stuff that sadly led to the demise of the frankly awesome and much missed Dreamcast (RIP) as people waited for the 'Emotion Engine'. What guff. Sony tried it again with PS3 and Home, but I think when gamers started to see inferior ports, a half baked LIVE-imitator with Second Life graphics and only a couple of real PS3 original gems (KZ2, LBP, MGS4), they realised that Sony's machine isn't everything that it was cracked up to be. It's a potentially potent, costly, hard-to-develop-for piece of kit with a few 'must-have' games and slightly inferior third party ports - not unlike Sega's Saturn. Go figure.

In short - if Sony DO pull ahead of M$, it'll be a sad day and a victory for spin and hollow marketing. In the words of Johnny Rotten, "Ever had the feeling that you've been had?"

Who the hell comes up with these statistics? I don't think anyone would care how the PS3 will bea the XBOX 360 in 2015 because most gamers woud off moved onto the next generation by then.

2015 - just in time for the launch of the PS4?!!?!!? And about 2 years after Microsoft launches the Xbox 720.

Who cares? By 2015 we will be playing whatever replaced 360. The release of a new Xbox or even a natal upgraded box will hold the line for a year or two until something new comes out. By 2015 the new Xbox will probably be 2 years old.
