This is huge.
Not only because it makes Rock Band that much more uber.
There are two artists who are notorious in the music world for being hard to aquire the rights to their music. All MTV/Rock Band needs now is to aquire the rights to Led Zeppelin and they will have done what some companies in the online jukebox market have been trying for years with no success. I'm sure there are more artists out there with hard to aquire rights, erm, only other big one I can think of atm is some country guy, uhhh, I dunno, I think he's the biggest country artist ever or something...but no one compares to the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. They are the first things someone complains about when we place an online juke.
So, MTV, don't rest on your laurels, lock down Zep before Activision realizes what a collossal blunder they've made (too late?) after that you can sit back and pick and choose like you've been doing. (No more newly released albums from aging hair bands though please, rather, more classic albums from aging hair bands) (only half joking)
I am cursed however, I'm not good enough to play the songs I want on Hard, and I'm waaaay too good to play them on Medium. Damn you Steely Dan and speed metal.
Activision needs to get over themselves, though as a stoild Rock Band partisan, I guess I should hope they don't. All they have is the brand name, all the real momentum is with Rock Band, they needed something like this to make their song catalog competitive with all that material Rock Band has floating around.

PreciousRoi - this Beatles title isn't going to be a part of the Rock Band franchise. It's to be a standalone game. I can't wait to see it.
