Since when is 256,765 to 217,639 a close race? That's the equivalent of winning:

A Formule One Grand Prix by 54 kilometres.

An Olympic 100 m sprint by 1.8 seconds

The Grand National by 533 lengths.

And, for you Tim, this years Tour De France by a lead of 630 kilometres.

Any of those sound close to you?
Will I still be soiled, when the dirt is off?

Since when are you unable to read the word "Wii" in a headline? PSP vs DS is another story, a story which is growing.

Since never! My alleged inability to read the word Wii is entirely irrelevent.

I was talking about the PSP/DS race, which you described thusly: "the close run race saw Sony breaking the tape ahead of the DS with the following numbers PSP = 256,765. DS = 217,639."

Ergo, the PSP sold 117.9% what the DS sold. The DS trailed the PSP figures by 15%.

Those are the numbers I used as the basis of my comparisons. Though I would like to correct my maths though to 45km, 1.5 seconds, 444 lengths, and 525km. Still none of which would ever be described as close run, though.

Admittedly, it's not the total domination that Wii displayed in the home consoles, but it is not particularly "close run" either.

First up, apologies for reading too fast and understanding too little - and the sarcasm. No need for that.

Yes, PSP did outsell DS by 15%.

To make my point, I should have said "In comparison to the console sales competition, the handheld race was a more close run thing..."

Point taken. Moving on now...

Cheers
