which is the reason why i dont use folding @ home. I was asked the other day on why i dont use it, my message was simple: "rapes leccy bill".

So why were they testing turned on but not doing anything? That's idiotic. Test standby or on and doing stuff, even if it's Folding@Home.
Seem like a non-real-world test to me, just so they could shout about power consumption while "doing nothing".

Hopefully those doing folding@home with parents paying the leccy bill will think about this a bit.

The first gen PS3 only uses 4 watts (about what a plugged in microwave that isn't running uses) if you shut it down after playing - if you flip the power switch on the back off then it uses nothing.
During game play current generation PS3's use ~135 watts when playing down from 200 watts (yeah two 100 watt light bulbs) for first generation PS3's.
