The US has 5 times the population of the UK. They sold 3.4 times as many DSs, that means the DS did 1.47 times better in per capita sales over here.

Well done for Nintendo they obviously have a product that everyone well nearly everyone wants, I used to have a Wii and I know its nothing amazing well for me anyways but its a good machine its main aim isnt visuals its just general fun gaming even if many of the games aren't appealing to me or many others.

I like the console though I will get one again eventually I love the colour scheme and that lovely blue light that comes on the tray.

Its fair that yes Nintendo did not have to lower the price but when other companys want a cut in the market they have no choice at the end of the day its better for us gamers when its at a price we can afford or a bargain.

NIntendo have made quite a comeback after the gamecube so I can assume Nintendo are no.1? With Microsoft at no.2 and Sony at no.3

I am sure once the Wii only owners get a taste of gaming especially if they are new to it they might venture over to the 2 other platforms so one could look at it as a favour from Nintendo to get none gamers into gaming ;-)

say what you will about Nintendo's lack of adult software and very poor third party software for hardcore gamers and grown ups, they are creating ANOTHER generation of kids who will grow up with fond memories of a Nintendo product, thus cementing their position as the only true videogames company.

I'm sure millions of kids will grow up remembering the Wii and DS just like my generation remember the Gameboy and Nes/Super Nintendo.

i didnt think they'd really be another generation like that, but i guess youre completely right, this generation of nintendo consoles is very reminiscent in feel to the 80s/early 90s. but you know, a bit less militant.
