I still love the fact that we Brits pay roughly double (two 20gig versions) for one 60 gig version.
I mean, with a 20gig, you can upgrade the hdd. You could also with the 60gig version.
Anyway, my point is that we're getting ripped off compared to America and Asia... But because we have "money to burn" we're stupid enough to pay this much for the system.
Come on people!! 400 smackers?! I see the price dropping around £25 if anything.

Hey, being smart with my money is exactly why I'm not buying a PS3 yet. These changes are good but its still too much. £300, then it will move. PS3 might start to move but the games are the problem now, that was always the real problem.
I happy with my 360 at the moment, I need a lot of reasons to spend more again on ps3. Not enough of them at the moment.

a price cut 3 months after launch have that ever happened before? surly sony must recognise that the cost of the console is a tad bit expensive and that is effecting sales, i myself will get one once the price is acceptable but to lower it to £375 is still ridiculous as the americans are paying i could understand shipping costs Vat and all that but still we should be paying at max £50 more than the yanks, £300 is good price to start at but theres not a chance in hell they will knock 125 off, how about they give us a 20gb unit at £300??

A PS3 80GB with Motorstorm for £350 would be enough to get me to put my hand in my pocket.
Will I still be soiled, when the dirt is off?

That's a little optimistic for now, I'd have thought, tempting though it would be for so many people.
Since Sony seem to be following the "USD = EUR -> GBP + a bit" formula, I'd say £350-360 for the 60GB and £425 for the 80GB. If we even get the 80GB here, apparently UK retail was really happy with the one SKU approach Sony took with the PS3.
