Good ol' Trip Hawkins, he's a legend in his own teabreak. Lol. I still remember him trying to sell us 3DO, very funny stuff indeed.
I have to be honest and say that I never play mobile phone games, I have a DS and PSP for that kind of thing. Good luck to him trying though.

joji...
i am would have thought that you would know more about trip hawkins than simply the 3d0...for instance he started bull frog which created the syndicate series (please bring it back), the populus series/god sims, magic carpet, etc etc....
anyway he does have some screw ups but mostly because he is slightly ahead of the curve. he was the guy behind the messiah game...which ended up poorly...but it introduced the concept of being able to have out of cherub (body) experiences in an fps where you could possess another character and control them.
anyway...i think he has a good damn point on mobile phone gaming.

Umm...Trip Hawkins did NOT create the Syndicate or Populous or Magic Carpet series. Those were done by Peter Molyneaux's company Bullfrog, in the UK. EA distributed them.
And Trip does not have that great a record in the game biz...EA didn't become what it is today under Trip, he went off to build the 3DO box while Larry Probst turned EA into the machine that ruled the Sega Genesis and everything else. Meanwhile, the original 3DO box died, and Trip revived 3DO as a games-only company, only to make a zillion versions of "Army Men."

you are quite right...damn i feel like a dumbass. for some odd reason i mixed up the two designers because i remember ea and bullfrog logos at the beginning of those games and just in my head trip and peter somehow merged.
sorry for the confusion and thanks for correcting it. by the way i am a huge molyneaux fan. sorry for any disrespect over the confusion. =(
still i think messiah was way ahead of its time as a gaming concept... (it was way too processor hungry to be enjoyable regardless).

I do admit that Trip funded the Heroes series I-IV. Most of which kicked ass. And High Heat was good while it lasted.
