Yeah, the £425 price for the 60GB version has been around for a while, I'd be surprised if it was changed. It's within the bounds of a "normal" conversion from the stated Euro price.
600 EUR is currently slightly under £404, add in your normal "round it up to a significant figure" price hike and you have your £425. VAT shouldn't really come into play against the Euro figure because UK VAT is just under the European average.
