Sony's pathetic ansewr to Nintendo's Wii...

The Famitsu poll that says nearly 70% of Japanese want a Wii vs. 21% who want a PS3 says it all... The price is too high and the package is half-butted.

The remarkable thing is, this means Microsoft has a great chance at keeping its worldwide lead over Sony, and Nintendo will, of course, take the cake.

The Joystiq updated console platter poll is equally revealing regarding Western intent to purchase a Wii--over 80% for Nintendo vs. about 21% for Sony and fifty something for Xbox 360... (This poll allows you to choose one console or a combination of consoles.)

While i'm a big Nintendo supporter, and i'm convinced Wii will do better than GCN, i'd suggest we wait before the the consoles launch before popping a few bottles of champagne.

Sony really looked like a chicken that wonders around for a bit after just having its head cut off. Clearly no idea what to do, and even abandoning Dual Shock instead of working with Immersion to get it as a standard again is just plain stupid.

Sure, we have all had a good laugh at Nintendo before and now its Sony's turn, so feel no shame in it.
