Sharpened fangs after more blood. This looks nice indeed and I'll be buying. I'm getting the impression that Konami have kind of neglected the Castlevania series a bit (except for on GBA and PS2 LOI) while concentrating too much on titles like Silent Hill matching up against Capcom's Biohazard series.
After Biohazard 4, it's clear Silent Hill isn't gonna trump Capcom in that department any time soon. The other problem for Konami is Castlevania now has to go up against Capcom's hugely successful Devil May Cry 3, which is looking stunning. Add Monster Hunter and Shadows of Rome in there, and Konami have their work cut out to get noticed like before.
I love it when companies fight tooth and nail for my money though. Raise you glasses for both Capcom and Konami. I do hope Konami can raise the profile of Castlevania series once more.

I'm still a little scared with the battery saving stance Sony has required of programmers. If there are loads every screen change because they can't stream the next environment, it is going to be annoying. Whereas you know the DS version will have no loading.
Anyone know what the "Innocent Devil" is in the screenshots? Is this your helper devil? He has HP seperate from the player and I'm not sure he is in the picture though. I thought it was displyaing the HP of the enemies, but they are clearly different in each screen, unless they are all Innocent Devils. I hope it isn't some useless fool with AI that you have to babysit.

Battery saving? Stance? Abe Vigoda? You may have read PSP but it does say PS2 in the article. As for the innocent devil I think those controls in the bottom left corner are some different positions or a.i. you can set for your familiar will they call it? Remember Symphony of the Night? The fairy, sword, bat, demon, and nose goblin?

Yeah, battery life is one of the few things your PS2 doesn't have a problem with.
I think Konami are going to find it real hard to better Devil May Cry on this; i mean, to the current generation of gamers (mainly casual ones or kids who are too young to know), DMC is much more well known. It has nowhere near the graphical polish, and looks... cartoony...
They have a LOT of catching up to do.

I dunno, Castlevania is (well this iteration if it follows the mold should) be different than Devil May Cry. If they make this one more like Symphony Of The Night, then it'll do well. I'm very excited, also considering Devil May Cry 2 was so easy to beat and not as fun as 1.
