Full name: Durell Games Ltd.
Established: 2004
Website:

Durell Games was formed in 2007 by games industry veteran Mike Richardson, a former executive director of Durell Software, the company that produced the 1983 hit, Harrier Attack!. Durell Software developed many popular games in the eighties for ZX Spectrum, Amstrad, Commodore 64, and other 8- and 16-bit platforms, with Mike responsible for creating many of those hits, including Harrier Attack!, Scuba Dive, Combat Lynx, Turbo Esprit, and Thanatos.

Since ceasing game development in 1989, Durell Software has been developing database software for the insurance industry, while Mike has remained in the games business. Over the years he has worked on titles for Electronic Arts, Eidos, Vivendi, the BBC, and other game publishers.

Mike says, "After working on the Fightbox project for the BBC, I decided to return to my game development roots. A sequel to Harrier Attack! seemed appropriate for a new company operating under the Durell name. It was one of the first and most successful of Durell Software's titles, and after twenty four years, a sequel is long overdue."

The company's first release is Harrier Attack II, available to download on PC.
