Summary
Raven Software was founded in 1990 by brothers Brian and Steve Raffel. The company formed with five staff, one computer, a basement and a vision of creating a role-playing game for the Amiga computer platform.
Since that time, Raven has developed some of the most groundbreaking, critically acclaimed, visually stunning computer games on the market, including the Heretic, HeXen and Soldier of Fortune titles.
Software Highlights from Credited Titles
Raven's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1992 title, "Black Crypt" (Amiga).
The company has been involved titles released on the PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PC, Power Mac, GameCube, GBA, PlayStation, Xbox and Amiga. Of these, "Soldier of Fortune: Special Edition" (PC), "Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast" (PC), "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" (Xbox 360), "Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix" (PC), "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" (PS3) has been a best selling title.
The company is currently involved with the forthcoming 2010 release "Singularity" (Xbox 360).
