Hmm, I'm pretty sure Mario Galaxy made the pre-launch Wii sizzle-reel video at E3 2006 and the game itself was available at retail almost exactly one year after launch.

Personally I found 3D Mario Land a little bland. -Colorful mario paraphernalia floating in a void. I will need a hands-on to be convinced that 3D World isn't much of the same made-up stuff.
