Rockstar’s freshly released financial report offers a glimpse into the future of right-wing enraging portable gaming with the not quite earth-shattering revelation that a new PSP GTA game is on the cards.
Although the European roll-out of the acclaimed Liberty City Stories has been pushed back until Friday of this week, the game has seen rave reviews in he US, with the return to the setting of Grand Theft Auto 3 delivering what might be the first truly must-have title for Sony’s new machine.
The news of a sequel has set the rumour mill grinding as one might imagine, with talk of GTA: Vice City Stories given a fresh lease of life. Speaking to SPOnG today, a spokesman for Rockstar simply commented, “Everyone has seen the release and jumped to their own conclusions. Right now the future of PSP Grand Theft Auto is not decided.” So you make of that what you will. For the record, SPOnG thinks Vice City Stories something of a cert given the majority of the code required for the release already exists, though time will - as ever - tell all. Rockstar also confirmed another as-yet unannounced PSP title; again, not earth-shattering, but interesting nonetheless.
