Video game broadcast, chat and streaming company Twitch is moving further into the guts of gaming. It essentially already has a monopoly in console and PC game broadcasting, and now it's going after mobile.
"Today the company announced the Twitch Mobile Software Development Kit, which will soon enable live broadcasting, capturing and archiving of mobile games..."
GamaSutra reports that, "Apart from broadcasting and recording game footage, the Twitch Mobile SDK will offer the ability to capture video from your smartphone or tablet's front camera while you play, while also recording audio from an internal or external microphone.
"The company says that its current Twitch app, which allows mobile users to watch PC and console streams, has been downloaded more than 10 million times, evenly split across iOS and Android."
