Super Smash Bros has finally been unveiled in today's Nintendo Direct broadcast. The game will arrive in 2014 for Wii U and 3DS, with a seemingly different art style for each platform. The big news? Mega Man and Animal Crossing's Villager are new characters in the roster.

The Villager can dig holes to trap opponents, lob plants and bowling balls at victims and even pocket enemy charge attacks. As for Mega Man, along with the variety of moves at his disposal from his NES games, he can also load up moves from foes defeated in past Mega Man games, such as Metal Blades.

Returning characters include Super Mario, Link from The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Samus Aran from Metroid, Kirby, Fox McCloud from Starfox, Pit from Kid Icarus, Pikachu from Pokemon.

You can see the whole thing unfold in the teaser trailer, which was at the end of today's Nintendo Direct.
