Dreamcast production is no more: And this time it’s for real

Sega has announced that the final Dreamcast hardware unit has been produced in Japan. The machine, an American model, marks the end of the Dreamcast and Sega’s run of hardware production.

The core CPU from the Dreamcast will live on, with Sega licensing the Naomi-based technology to manufacturers of gambling and pachinco machines.
