Radical's Armstrong on Prototype Abilities: "I just couldn’t believe we actually shipped with that!"
Radical Entertainment’s design director Matt Armstrong has talked to EGM about the forthcoming sequel to Prototype. Frankly, he's learned some important lessons.

Here's one, and it might come as a little bit of a bother to you if you bought Prototype.

Mr A' had just killed the first boss and had 21 abilities unlocked, he was shocked:

"My heart just sank."

"I just couldn’t believe we actually shipped with that. I cannot image there was a single player, even the most obsessive-compulsive player in the world, who would sit there and read through the descriptions for 21 different abilities and then figure out which one actually had the most value to them, let alone be able to apply it coherently within the game.”

But Radical did ship the game. So, what's the change in the new title that won't make Mr Armstrong's heart drop?

First up, you can have your hero protagonist, James Heller, rip them from kaput opponents or you can visit underground 'lairs' for upgrades.
