Mass Effect PC Discounted for Pre-Order Punters

Plus: Dead Space goodies in the offing

30 Apr 2008

Electronic Arts-owned BioWare has said that gamers who pre-order Mass Effect for PC will get a discount at certain US retailers.

Gamers who order the title from retailers including GameStop, Amazon.com and GoGamer.com will get $10 (£5) shaved off the price.

Electronic Arts, Mass Effect's PC publisher, is also dishing up Dead Space goodies for folk who order Mass Effect through its online store. Up for grabs is the first issue of the Dead Space comic and a poster "while supplies last".

Quite why BioWare or EA is feeling the need to pimp Mass Effect with official discounts at retail has not been said.

SPOnG has contacted EA to find out whether we'll see a similar promotion over here, but no comment was available at the time of press.

Mass Effect is set to hit the PC on June 6th over here. You can find out more on SPOnG's dedicated game page.
